MODERN DATING

A 90-Minute Feature Film

Modern Dating is a contemporary psychological thriller about love, loneliness, and the dangerous influence of the internet age.

Set in Atlanta, the film follows Ryan and Alli, two thirty-something professionals navigating the modern dating landscape. Like millions of people today, both turn to dating and romance podcasts for guidance—looking to online personalities and relationship experts to help make sense of love, attraction, and connection.

When a chance encounter brings Ryan and Alli together, a promising romance quickly develops. Their first few dates seem effortless, and by the third, everything appears to be falling perfectly into place.

Then Alli ghosts him.

What begins as confusion quickly becomes obsession. Determined to understand why she disappeared, Ryan turns increasingly toward the online voices he has relied on for answers. As his thinking becomes more extreme, the line between dating advice and radicalization begins to disappear.

Ryan's search for answers ultimately sends him down a dark and violent path—one that exposes the potentially toxic influence of algorithm-driven relationship content and the echo chambers that can transform loneliness and rejection into something far more dangerous.

Modern Dating explores a uniquely modern question:

What happens when we let the internet teach us how to love?

CURRENTLY RAISING FINANCING

We are currently raising funds to bring Modern Dating to the screen.

Our goal is to begin production by February 2027, with completion targeted for September 2027, positioning the film for festival submissions and distribution.

This is an independent feature built around a timely, culturally urgent subject—modern romance, online influence, algorithmic radicalization, and the increasingly blurred line between entertainment and ideology.

We are looking for investors, partners, and supporters who believe in the film and want to help bring this story to audiences.
